Do you think Post-Covid MAC could offer UConn a conference home?

There's more fans closer to East Hartford than Storrs.
There might be more fans in New Britain also-College football should be played on college campuses. I can't think of too many D1 teams who don't have their own stadium.

Here's three right off the bat....

University of Miami
Temple University
University of California at Los Angeles

And a 4th but they're building one...
San Diego State University

Add South Florida and Pitt to that list.

Take SDSU off the list. They own old Jack Murphy now, though they are rebuilding on the site to suit.

You can add Pitt to that list.

Good list - I would take Rose Bowl drive from UCLA any day. My point is- it's a short list and I know we can't move Rentschler to Storrs campus.
It's just not an inspiring venue from fans perspective

I’m in this camp too. Though probably not as strongly. My guess is that with 5 years Notre Dame will go to the ACC in football and they will bring us on board as the partner. Though the usual hoops only boys will probably oppose it because they want to play Creighton Xavier DePaul. You know the “ historic” Big East ...oh and MSG. But we seem to have a pretty solid schedule. I’d like to see BYU added on an annual basis and UMass annually. I agree it’s preferable to the MAC.

Not like they didn't try. In the years UConn was looking to upgrade and the Big East gave them an invite, they couldn't get a stadium built on-campus and eventually UTC donated land in East Hartford for a stadium.

Here's a timeline of how all that went down:

As a life long Connecticut resident, it has value. There's buildings older than some Big Ten states around the stadium and can also see the Hartford skyline from one side of the stadium.

And there's that one house that refused to sell on Silver Lane. Their house is surrounded and fenced off by stadium premises.
