Were you one of the students Chris Daley made go to games- then fell in love with the team? Are you willing to share your memories with the producers creating the Apple+ documentary on the UConn women’s basketball team? Let me know and we can figure out the best way for you to communicate with the producers. You can post here, send a private message (PM), or email me at huskynan@yahoo.com

All of you folks that have been around forever - your memories of the early days could remind us of a valuable new source. Keep talking about the early days.

Just a teaser - the documentary will be presented in three parts and cover the team from the early days to the present. In an incredible stroke of luck, the production staff decided to document this past season so we’ll get some new insights to the inner workings of the team this championship season. CPTV has been assisting, former players have been interviewed, and, of course, Geno has been contributing. This should be a pretty comprehensive look at UConn wbb.

I believe it will be shown next year but don’t know the date. I’ll keep you posted.

There was a game in XL late (I think) in the Maya Moore era
where she made an unconscious move to the hoop ...
and the Courant printed a three 8x10 (?) display of that wondrous play...
I'll try to find it in archives...

Kinda early to wonder about, but I hope that the people at Apple make the documentary available on a UConn platform (such as UConn+). Apple+ is about the only streaming service that I don't subscribe to.

I'm trying to find "The March to Madness", the HBO documentary about the 2016/2017 season. Really great series, but I can't find it anywhere. For those that have HBO, is it available to you on one of their networks? I would really like to see that again, really good.

I remember going down to Miami for a Men's game when they just joined the Big East, I think Rebeca Lobo was a freshman, 1990 or 91. The women were playing in town as well. We went to campus to try to see the game and asked around where the game was, and I remember people saying, "we have a women's basketball team?" We finally found the small gym they were playing in, maybe it could hold 500 people, but the buzz was starting to catch on, the place was packed with UConn fans. From what I remember, Miami had a decent women's program back then.

I also remember the women's games were free, then just paid general admission no assigned seating in Gampel, I am not sure when that changed.
