Do we have to make Jewell an honorary Husky?

Jewell was always complimentary of Geno. In fact there were many occasions where she credited Geno for expanding her game and making her a better player simply through the myriad defenses he threw at her. Her and Brianna Turner are my two favorite Domers simply for being good, honest, hard working people.

It would be fun to hear Jewell's response to so many Huskies.

I have never disliked Jewell, Brianna, or Jackie Young. But the Mabrey clan .... ;)

Agreed. Like Kia Nurse, she's tough to like if she isn't on your bench. As for me I liked Shepard, Turner, Young and Jewell the minute I heard them speak. They are all just fine young women. I found Turner though to be particularly thoughtful, kind and sweet.

Kara went out of her way to embrace the Husky program on many occasions on national television.
I think given Kara's position as a talking head most if not all of these young women I've mentioned would do the same.

I was a bit confused by the title of this topic. Why would we add a popular singer from the late 90's as an Honorary Husky?

Was Tina a number one draft pick? Does Seattle start four #1 picks? Unprecedented?
Charles was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2010 WNBA Draft out of the University of Connecticut, earning 2010 WNBA Rookie of the Year honors with the Connecticut Sun after averaging 15.5 points and 11.5 rebounds per game. Seattle now has four former UCONN players on its roster, accounting for eight of the Huskies’ 11 NCAA Championships as Charles, who was a two-time NCAA Champ in 2009 and 2010, joins Bird (2000, 2002), Stewart (2013-16) and Gabby Williams (2015-16).
