Do we get Walton Friday night?

Cornell 77
I saw them @Dillon Stadium in '74. My first road trip concert.... I just like the Europe '72 version of Sugaree.

I'm pretty sure during UNC game Bilas/Shulman said they'd be back out to see UConn take on Gonzaga. Not sure if they were referencing it being back on ESPN or that they were doing another game.

I love Bill Walton….I’d love for him to write a memoir and follow it up with a tour similar to what Geddy Lee is doing right now.

I like Walton, he’s so out there it’s funny. He made me mad a week or two ago he was doing a game naming all of the blue bloods and how many titles each of them have or who has the most titles and he didn’t even name UConn, I was like WTF. He’s usually out there but pretty sharp basketball wise.

As much as I enjoy listening to Walton once a year, I’d much rather have Bilas and his partner calling the game, for a game if this magnitude. Gives it a more serious feel.

Quick -- what to Bilas and Walton have in question besides being tall former basketball players? Answer -- they are both law school grads. Walton never practiced but did go to and graudate from Stanford Law while playing/being injured in the NBA. And Bilas is of counsel at a major NC firm. When he (rarely, because I think he's very good) ticks me off, I'm not beyond emailing him at his law firm email.

Walton is the worst - he talks basketball about 5% of the game. Nothing but nonsense the rest of the time. Bilas would be good.

What if I told you only about 5% of a game's action needs an analyst to break it down for fans.

I hope not, I don’t want to listen to him talk nonsense about rivers and mountains during game action, plus the awkward interaction with whom ever is calling the game with him is unbearable
Where else can you get a geography lesson during a basketball game

Red Rocks 8/12/87; Radio City 10/31/80
way too many to remember - my 1st in 72 in Hartford and my last one up in Oxford Maine - motorcycle fest and mud everywhere - 1988?

Not sure it is a memoir, but he has written a book about his life (is that the definition of a memoir) and it was a really great read.

would love to hear Bilas paired with Walton
I don’t think they would paired since they are the same role, but Bilas did his 94’ with schtick with Bill during this year’s Maui (in Honolulu) and Bill was so far gone. I’m a huge fan but it was very cringeworthy even to me.
