I‘m sure the increase in NIL and Mora is having a nif factor in what looks like improved talent coming in on defense, but I’m thinking Matt Brock is also having a huge positive impact.

Depends on how you define recruits. HS kids, yes. But a few portals were kids who played for him at MSU.

I think Recruits today are any athlete that you bring into the program by any means, including retention of a Portaler(Yates). I would imagine Brock like all coaches is looking for players who fit his mold, physically and mentally. We can surmise which players leave because they aren't recruited to stay, and which leave because they have "leveled up," both financially and level of competition. Seems surprising that Malcolm Bell appears to have done well for himself. Doesn't appear to me that the loss of Malcolm Bell doesn't fall into the hard to replace category, while my feeling is that a Skyler Bell will be tough to find. (Purely coincidence that Skyler and Malcolm share the same surname))
