A tale of two ACLs....both of the guests have gone through the brutal recovery from ACL tears, one back on the path now.
Jacki Gemelos was one of the biggest names in the country when she was coming out of St. Mary’s high school in California in the spring of 2006, but she didn't get on the court until 2010. After yet another ACL tear this winter, she is keeping her WNBA dreams alive, and working to be ready for next season with the Minnesota Lynx, who drafted her this year.
Monique Currie missed all but four games of last season, but will be vital to any success the rebuilt Mystics will have this year. Currie remains optimistic and excited about the change in attitudes that come with personnel changes. However, we will see if she is correct about the team contending for a playoff spot.
