The carriers are starting to push back hard on the sports networks. Dish doesn't have the rep for hardcore sports - but if Comcast dropped RedZone I'd change carriers.

Do any sports fans still have DishNetwork? We bailed on them for directv about 10 years ago due to sports programming. .

Big sports fans no - but their checks didn't bounce.

If Dish isn't afraid of the NFL net what does that mean for lesser stations?

Dish has 14 million subs - don't know how many had NFL net but they are down to 60 million homes.

I left Dish when they dropped SNY. They were Dicks about it too. Tried holding me hostage with the threat of an early termination fee.

I had dish for 10 years, I actually liked their service and their dvr, but they were NOT in sports fans corner. Last choice for sports fans.

Ugh. I had someone come by last summer trying to sell me Dish. I asked him about SNY. After being on hold for 15 minutes, corporate finally confirmed what I already knew. Um, thanks but no thanks.

.-.
I'm glad I caught this thread. I was actually thinking of switching to Dish. Guess that would have been a bad idea especially since they dropped SNY.

It's about an additional 10 bucks. a month for SNY
But how many UConn games are they carrying this year

.-.
I live in Hartford county and have Directv. With the sports package I get:
NESN, YES, SNY, FS1&2, CBS Sports, NBC Sports, NBA TV, NHL Net, MLB Net, NFL Net, All thousand ESPN Channels, Big 10 Net, SEC Net, BYU TV, and a few other regional sports channels.
Thank goodness however...no Longhorn Net.

Wow, but I have heard their customer service is poorer than Dish.

especially how many that aren't also on espn3 - or are those exclusive?
