I didn't.

I didn't until I read this article yesterday.

The Huskies (4-1, 1-1) haven’t had the chance to play that many games and reap the benefits that would have come with it, but in their smaller sample size they have played well enough to be taken seriously, getting a couple of votes in the AP poll that came out Monday. UConn’s defense, which has allowed the fewest points per game (65.4) and 3-point percentage (27.4) in the conference, has been the trademark so far, and the Huskies lead the nation with 16.2 offensive rebounds per game.

“We miss a lot, so we get a lot of practice at it,” Hurley joked.

There may be some truth in Hurley's comment yesterday, that they get more OR practice than most, because they miss alot. 🤐

Our weakness in rebounding from several years ago is now our strength. Now if we can get Adama with more minutes played, he can even improve these rebounding stats.
When will you diehards acknowledge that Carlton and Whaley are both excellent rebounders
Carlton averaged 6.1 in 21 minutes
Whaley a hair less in similar minutes
CV led the team with 6.2 in but in 32minutes

I think the reference was to the Ollie years. Those teams were atrocious at rebounding. Even in Hurley’s first two years the team as a whole wasn’t an excellent rebounding team. Yes Carlton and Whaley improved their rebounding under Hurley but the team as a whole hasn’t been this good at rebounding in a while.

Carlton is a very good offensive rebounder. Top five, ORPG, in the conference last two years. He is tied for third, ORPG, in the BE so far this year.
