NCAA website says both UConn men's ice hockey and women's ice hockey are members of the ECAC. Last I knew was men's hockey was a member of Atlantic Hockey and women's was a member of Hockey East. NCAA site has an update date of today. Scanned the internet and didn't find anything at all about joining the ECAC. The only info I found was that UConn had been actively attempting to join Hockey East earlier this month.

Is this a premature update to the site? Or did I just miss something?

Chalking it up to administrative error, but would love to be wrong.

Me too. I'd love HEA more but maybe UConn realized compliance with Title IX would be an issue since HEA requires 18 scholarships. Not sure what ECAC requires.

Could be admin error but there was that whole Mizzou announcement on the SEC website 2 weeks before it was official...

Men's league mates Army, Bentley, Holy Cross, and Mercyhurst, and women's league mates BC, Maine and Vermont are all listed as being members of the ECAC for ice hockey for both men's and women's sports where applicable, so I think it's just an NCAA thing.

Title IX compliance would come from any conference move. It's AHA that only allows a smaller number of scholarships, 12 I think, so moving to any other conference would result in Title IX compliance. I doubt HE would kick the UConn women's team out, I'd chalk this up to error.
