how many times uconn had a chance to make the stop in the backfield, or at least keep the play from breaking wide open only to see the MD player bounce off and gain another 20-30 yards.
We didn't pressure their QB well, but there were so many times that uconn just looked like little kids trying to arm tackle grown men, only to have them break loose for extra yardage...

How about T-MB playing two hand touch on Diggs on his TD??

People get cross-eyed here when coaches/players talk about working on fundamentals and techniques. They freaking need it!

Along the same lines, I've never seen a UConn team so poor at shedding blocks.

The front four is still out there trying to record a sack. The Maryland QB could have measured his time in the pocket with a calendar. Terrible effort by front four. Not sure the talent is there.

This was worse in Towson game. I thought they were much improved against Maryland.

If I told you the defense would cause 2 turnovers, and make two 4th down stops, plus the qb throw for 300 yards and a wr have 150 yards receiving and they lose by 2 scores you would probably think I was crazy.

Tackling
Breaking tackles
Blocking
Shedding blocks

What is 4 things we can't do.

Also playing football. Not very good at that

Looked to me like they had a three man front for much of the game. Very sad because even with a three man front the coverage on the receivers was pathetic.
