UConn's starting lineup last year had three #1 recruits in it. There are only four such players in all of America, and three of them were starters for the Huskies. The other two starters were a #3 junior who was the best PG in her class and Collier bringing up the rear. What other team in the country had a Collier as their lowest ranked recruit?

I'm not saying the cupboard is bare. But the last four classes have Crystal, with the rest of the class not seeing much playing time, Megan with three transfers out, CW and ONO, and now, Aubrey and Ania (or Anna). Yes, two #1's in that group, but a little thin in terms of depth. Hopefully, the next two classes make up for that.

IT's UCONN YAY!!!

Her whole announcement was a lot of thanking people and programs who helped her along the way. She got emotional when talking about the pride in playing for Team Canada. Got emotional when talking about her family. Said the program she was choosing has everything she wants and needs to help her get thru 4 years of college and grow and improve and move on to the next level.

Also said the program she's choosing can really help her be the person she wants to be and how much she appreciates the coaches and her teammates and thanked them for their interest in her.

The whole auditorium erupted when she announced UCONN...

She strikes me as an incredibly thoughtful and humble kid. We are all going to love her. Welcome to OUR family Aaliyah! Clearly yours has raised a gem!
