@DickieV: Couple of thoughts - Kevin Ollie UCONN has qualities to be a special coach...

Everybody is catching on now!

the majority of the media loves KO, and not just the Horde, it's national as well

Dicke V was a supporter of Ollie getting a contract from the start and said so many times.

This!

He and Jay Bilas were very vocal about KO getting a contract, early and often. Not surprised that Dickie V made more recent positive comments on KO. A great many basketball people believed that he would be a good one (and perhaps a great one some day)...

This lovefest from the media regarding our coach is something new and welcomed. I don't care for vitales usual babbling", but the endorsing of the uconn brand is something I can deal with.

Dickie V loves everyone, Waquoit, he's a schmoozer. But we need all the good press we can get these days.

It's extremely hard not to like KO. If you do, you are just biased for your own reasons. I want to hear what's Gottlieb's take on KO is. I think he has fire and ice in his opinions.

Coach Ollie is an honest, forthright and honorable man. He is well-liked and respected by most for this regard. It is not in his nature to cheat or even borderline cheat in recruiting. He won't be stooping to the level of negative recruiting that slimeball coaches will. He works hard and demands that his players do the same. He is a ten toes in guy in all phases of his life.

...some would prefer a coach who will bend all rules to get ahead in recruiting, I am not one of them!

Has Vitale ever said a bad thing about any coach?

The more I see from KO, the more I like him as a coach and as a person. I think we will have a great leader for a long, long time.

KO has the unique potential to be the BE's next John Thompson but he may win a championship for Uconn a lot earlier.
