Diana Taurasi LA Times article

Thanks for posting that. Good read.

The last part about Taurasi not benefiting from what the W has become is true of all sports folks when they retire - the money and exposure continues to expand across sports. But what I thought about was Diana, and Bird, and a bunch of that era of women's basketball stars got to experience something that no longer really exists - which were the superstar Euro teams of the 2000s and 2010s. Where they were treated by the owners like royalty. I suspect a large portion of their net worth comes from playing at Spartak Moscow and at UMMC Ekaterinberg.

Those teams were like the Dream Team for men's basketball.
