I heard we had her!! Rumor I heard is she was but sure going to UCONN and then something changed and wanted to play with those other teammates. Which in turn landed her at UNC!

To this olde coach, Diamond's behavior seems very radical.
I was really hopeful that UConn would corral Jewel and Diamond.
UConn's success over the next few years is going be very dependent on Saniya.

It won't be wasted, but I doubt it will be maximized as much as it would have been at UConn or a few other places. Sylvia tolerates a high turnover offense, so sloppy passing will likely be the result. Diamond will be very good at the things she chooses to work on, but may not shore up her weaknesses. Her athleticism helped her to excel in high school. In college, a few teams have players who can match her. In the WNBA, most teams do. She needs to do what KML is doing--play like Kelly Faris. If she has intensity like Maya or Chiney, she'll be great.
