The fact that his judgement was suspect enough to let this stuff happen in the first place still gives me pause.

I want an offensive coach. Enought of these sackless conservative defense types. Bob is worried about throwing an int on the goal line so he runs a play into a stacked front and has the clock run out. That is much better in his mind. He flat out has no balls or imagination.
 
As soon as the B12 cuts UConn then UConn needs to cut both Verducci and BD. But my guess is that they both survive because Bennett is in his first year and UConn didn't lose 12-41 to a mid major. But at the very least Verducci needs to go immediately.
 
I can not defend his clock management or conservative play calling anymore!
 
As I have said before, he is overpaid for us to be his test tube. Year 3 and we still can't get plays in on time and can't manage clock. While the program is much better since he got here, we are UCONN. We win games, not lose them.

Both TJ and Joe Moorehead are better than this joker we got. Diaco can be the cheerleader but he got zero sense when it comes to coaching in-game.

I agree with all of this except the punt return scheme. That's Bobs influence. He has been quoted on it. I'd like to know what the players were told on the punt, e,g, max protect?

I get the feeling Wain was supposed to angle it out of bounds the way the coverage was set up.

Is there any reason why Lane Kiffin should not become a head coach again? He is doing a good job as OC at Alab. Can he handle the pressure of a HC's job? Diaco looks like he can't. We know Paul Pasq. sure couldn't.

Blowing the timeout was stupid. But 2nd and goal with 17 seconds left you HAVE to get 3 plays off. 2 quick passes then whatever you want on 4th down. Unbefreakinglievable. I am numb. Can't imagine how the kids feel

Yeah, I'm getting beyond concerned if Bob hasn't figured it out already after two full seasons, while Weist had us blowing teams out by the final 3-game stretch that season.

Agreed. But I don't have all of the facts. I know we all live under the fantasy that we would run to the newspaper and throw our careers away the minute we see wrongdoing, but real life isn't like that most of the time. I'm not giving him a pass. He got fired and I 100% agree with that based on what I know. I just can't say at this point that he is beyond redemption.

I get pretty squirrelly when people start saying that people that have done something wrong don't deserve to make a living. That isn't what you are saying, but some have said so.
