You 're assuming DD actually has a deal with a team in Turkey. I would suggest that we need to take that bit of information with more than a grain of salt.

It looks like the team she is playing for is not currently in the Premier League, but perhaps in the Second League, though I can find no list of the Turkish Second League teams.

Cukurova Basketball has signed a 2 year contract with young talent Diamonond DeShields.

The American player who was born in 1995, is 1.86 in size and can play in positions 2-3, was awarded with the award of '' Naismith Girl's High School Player of the Year '' in 2013.

After winning this prize by players such as Tamika Catchings, Candace Parker and Diana Taurasi, Diamond took the first step to the NCAA and won the Tea Cycle of the Year award at the University of North Carolina in the first year.

In addition, Diamond, who played the American National Team in the 2012 U17 World Championship, won the MVP award for his performance in this tournament.

Among the career records, the player with statistics such as 38 points, 12 rebounds, 8 assists, 7 steals, has a leading identity that combines his extraordinary athletic talents with his credentials. DeShields scored 17 points, 6.4 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 1.4 steals and 1 block average in Tennesse Volunteers last season.

DD announced on Instagram she will be playing for Cukurova (Turkey) in the fall.

According to Swish Appeal Diamond will play in Turkey this Fall. Diamond was in Dallas this week and indications are that she may join the Wings next year. Because she did not participate in this year's draft she will be a free agent next year:
An inside scoop on Diamond DeShields
I hope they are correct. It will be interesting to see how Diamond takes to the Turkish autocratic and intense coaching style. At least this is the impression I have from reading several articles about the experiences some USA players have encountered in Turkey.

I think she might do ok there. Her father will definitely have problems though.

Funny thing about that instagram post...... The took out the TENNESEE name on the front of the jersey. :D

I wonder if that was Deshields choice or the Turkish team

Do you mean Cucaracha?
