H

hamilton is small, I mean it's diffrent obv playing wing vs point guard. But if Hamiltons playing the 3 then he's def small for his postion. Same could be said for purvis if he plays the 2, although his strength and athleticism might make up for it.
Hamilton would probably play the 2 which he would be ideal size for in the nba. He has game. His tape shows he can finish and take shots whether it's catch and shoot or off the dribble anywhere on the court with a quick high release. I doubt he leaves after one year but if we go deep in the tournament and he plays well I wouldn't doubt it at all.

Kemba was the 9th pick in the draft and is likely a future all-star. I don't think he's a good example for you.
Seeing how deep the PG position in the NBA is I'm not sure if we will see that. He's competing with guys like John Wall, Kyrie, Derrick Rose if he comes back healthy, and Rondo for that east spot. But when I say early I mean sophomore freshman year.

Way off on this. Bazz is the tallest of the three and he is 6'1. Scouts were saying if he was 6'4 he'd have been a guaranteed top 5 pick.
You're proving my point actually.

Sure, but we're not talking about what team accomplishments are possible, we're talking about whether or not a couple guys enter the draft next year.

Boatright hasn't even been drafted, and if he doesn't show the ability to shoot (from range) like Bazz, and stop over-penetrating he'll be lucky to be a second round draft pick. He's a fantastic college player. There are very, very few guys at his size in the NBA.

I'm sure he'll play better under Ollie, but Purvis didn't light up NC State as a freshman. I'm excited about him, he has NBA potential, but he's going to need to make a huge leap to do it after this season.

Hamilton is a mini Deandre Daniels, and he got drafted mid second round after 3 years, and a great run in the tournament. Calling him a one-and-done is a huge reach at his size. He's tall, but needs to put weight on.
Couple of things, if Boatright was 6'4 with his athleticism and ability to create his own shot he would've been drafted by now.

NC State has a drive and kick type of offense which really didn't fit purvis because his main strength isn't shooting. Our offense is going to be way more suited to Purvis skills and allow him much more freedom to make plays. At 6'4 he would be a big PG in the NBA. That's where he wants to play. He has already been here a whole season under Ollie and we have seen how Ollie can turn an out of control player into a header, great decision making PG with 3 players already (Kemba, Shabazz, and Boatright) so I'm sure Purvis will also be on that list. Ollie called him the most talented player on last years team that had the AAC player of the year on it and the tournaments most outstanding player. There's not a doubt in my mind he makes that leap. From all reports he looks great and ready to come in and make a huge impact. He will average at least 15 ppg this year as the main scoring option being the most talented and knowing how to play uconn basketball after practicing with the team for a year.

Hamilton is not like Deandre at all. Deandre had consistency issues, wasn't much of a elusive or smooth scorer had a very to the ground game, and played the 4 a lot with no good skills besides shooting really. When he played hard he was a good rebounder and defender on top of it. But that's when he played hard. Hamilton looks a lot better scoring wise. His handle and playmaking ability looks a lot better from his tape. Deandre never looked to pass much unless he had to when he had the ball. Hamilton jumpshot releases at his high point and he actually jumps when he shoots. He will be a much better scorer than DD was. He has the size to be a prototypical 2. If we go deep in the tourney and he plays well like I said before I wouldn't be surprised if he left. But I could see him staying also to enjoy the college experience since his family is pretty well set. I'm sure he has nba game though also seeing as he has a brother already in the nba that he trains and learns from.

Oh so you're counting height as the primary physical "tools," never mind then
Yes. Height, size, and athleticism. 2 of the 3 Kemba, Bazz, and Boatright lacked so they had to wait until their games were near perfect on this level before nba teams could give them a look. Purvis lacks none of those so he will be on NBA teams draft boards once he produces big.

Well I gotta say, Kemba ain't doing bad for himself, and I remember LeBron wanting Bazz real bad, I wonder if that's an indicator of star potential.

Unless by "earlier" you mean earlier in age instead of draft position then I think I messed that up

Yes I meant earlier as in leaving earlier in age rather than draft position. I should've cleared that up I guess.

What position did Rip play? The 3. HEA and Moore were the guards.
But that begs the question, is DHam on the same level as rip?
Hamilton is pretty much the ideal size(height wise, he needs to get stronger) and skill set for an NBA SG/2, he's not an NBA SF/3. He's not small at all.
Yeah what I meant was weight, dude is skinny. That could change though

That's my thought process. Could be a college 3 but he's a better fit as an nba 2. At least right now
