Nice Christmas Day article in the Courant about Demary and his family. Didn't realize he has a twin sister and she is at UConn also.

“I remember there was a time in the summer where I was just getting frustrated because I wasn’t on time with everything and how it needed to be, and as months went on, it got better and better… I’m interested to see what it will look like at the end of the year, I think every day I’m getting one percent better,” he said. “Coming from my last school, I was a floor general and I was able to score at will because that’s what the team needed, but I know here, we have different guys that can go off any night and my job is to lead the team, defend and just get lost in the game, make as many plays as I can.”

This UConn star has support of his own village as he looks to be Huskies’ next great point guard

One of the better bio/character articles on a UConn player I've read in a long time.
His ascendancy reminds me of Steph. Every single game he gets better and better. That's scary.
That "War and Peace" bio on Clingan from Mike Anthony 2 1/2 years ago was probably the best one ever. The stuff about the family and his mother was a tear jerker.

Great read, in the Stew article from last week it was mentioned that there were families that moved into local apartments but didn't mention who, I wonder if there are any others doing the same as the Demarys.

I think with the amount of income these Guys make, along with the level of TV, YT and social media coverage our program gets it's probably for the best. Not to mention having family help keep the predatory wolves at bay. No agent can provide that level of shield for a College athlete.
