Demary and Stewart will be questionable for the UCLA game according to Hurley

Sam Calhoun replied to expect a minutes restriction.

They really should only play if they can move freely, UCLA has quick perimeter players, you’re not stopping them at 75%.

With the injury situation, might it be better to play a slower more deliberate game, and maybe turn it into a rock fight to give us a better chance? I don't know if that is possible.

People wanted to know what Demary's injury is. Here you go.

Demary has a Grade 2 high ankle sprain, a calf/Achilles injury that normally sidelines a basketball player for several weeks, an injury that’s not going to heal without rest. But for Demary, athletic trainer Tavarus Ferguson and sports performance director, or strength and conditioning coach Gavin Roberts, there was no rest this week. The Huskies point guard transferred from Georgia for this purpose, to play deep in the NCAA Tournament, and he was not going to watch his team fight to reach the Round of 16, he was going to be in fight with them. And defying conventional wisdom, he told his body to shut up.

“There was no ifs, ands or butts about it,” Demary said. “There was no chance I wasn’t going to play today.”

Why was Hurley saying Silas was in pretty good shape before the tournament started?

I didn't notice any noticeable movement impediment when Silas was on the floor. He seemed to move fine , but just didn't attempt multiple shots or try to penetrate. Another 4+ days of rest will help too - so good the game is Friday.

I wouldn't expect Silas to be at his best for the rest of the season then with that news, still effective and a positive impact last night though

I think he was just hiding it well. If you watch how he was playing defense he was battling with everything he had because he wasn’t really able to move laterally well enough to stay in front

What r the chances for Stewart to be ok by Friday?
Hopefully pretty good. I was in the building last night and unlike Friday, I was not drinking so I was at my seat for the entire warm-up. Demery actually looked a little gimpy in warm-ups if you were hyper focused on him. Stewart was out there dunking in both the pre-game warmup and the 2nd half lay up line. I was kind of shocked that he didn't play at all, especially with the foul trouble.
