Defending the 3

After a week to prepare, why do our guards continue to collapse on the drive knowing that the only way possible Notre Dame can win that game is to kick out on the drive and hit 3s? They have no player that you need to double team on that team. Stay with your man, wasn't that the theme of the entire week's practice? I blame the coaching if they did not preach that all week to the guys. You play that team straight up and you beat them on athletic ability alone. Frustrating

Very true, particularly on the weak side,, the defender was collapsing under the basket with no chance to get back to the shooter in the corner

3 point defense is the key to the rest of our season. I truly believe it. Our offense might suck but we have enough talent to win low scoring games, if teams don't rain 3's on us. Make them test AO and AD inside, so the only 3's taken are with defenders in their face.

Yes we are ranked pretty low in defending the 3. Improving that alone could win us some of these games.
