General NBA discussion.

People were quick to dismiss Fox but he’s been excellent while Wemby and Castle are injured.

Let’s see what happens with Giannis!

Don't think people dismissed him. It's just a fit thing.

As we’re seeing with Castle and Wemby out, he's a high level guard with the ball in his hands. But Castle also plays better with the ball in his hands.

So the Spurs may have to make a choice eventually. And I don't think they're moving on from their 21 year old star. No point in having one player or the other diminish their role when they can bring in a guy who can do what is needed naturally.

That may be your take, but people here definitely dismissed him.

Again, playing both on and off ball for both players will make the team a lot more dangerous. You can never have enough ball handlers and slashers.

If I was the Spurs, instead of putting a 6’2, 6’3 guard next to Castle that will play more limited, it'd make more sense to bring in a 3 & D player or a more scoring oriented wing player with size to not give up the size advantage Castle is suppose to give me by playing PG. Also having someone who can naturally complement his game.

Just because players can do something doesn't mean they should. Fox just doesn't make sense in the lineup or roster if Castle is going to have him playing off ball (which out of the two Fox would be as Castle is the priority at this point plus Fox is the better shooter to play off ball).

Well that’s not gonna happen as Fox just signed a massive extension. We all love Steph and have a bias towards him but yours knows no bounds. Fox is an elite player and this is evident by how well the Spurs have done without Wemby and Castle. You just have to accept that they are both gonna play and the Spurs are better for it.

Honestly makes him easier to move once he becomes available to move before the deadline.

I wouldn't be surprised if he was on the move this summer as he becomes eligible to be traded the day before the deadline, I think. And it's probably hard to make deals happen with that restriction.

I never said Fox wasn't an elite player. He's just not a good fit next to Castle who the Spurs are starting to prioritize as their cornerstone next to Wemby.

You don't think its weird Fox missed almost the first month of the season despite playing 5 on 5 since before the season even began? Lol

They are being very intentional about Castle’s development which has been amazing.
