December General CBB Discussion Thread (Non-BE)

They were also down 10 in the second half to Maryland before Maryland lost both their front court starters (one to injury, one to two techs).

They’re good - but whatevs. We’ll worry about them if they are in our bracket or in the FF with us.
Totally - but in a year our conference is garbagio, interest has gone to sizing up the field of 12. This is the least interesting BE slate I can remember in the history of the BE. Maybe Nova is interesting, lost interest in StJ.

They beat UM by 20? Who's to say they wouldn't have done the same with those two guys in there - UMD isn't good. Impossible to use that game. And no, they haven't played an at Duke (they are playing them later this season), but they are annhiliating really good teams in ways we haven't seen. The data supports all of it. Watching great teams is actually fun - even if it's not UConn. May did a great job with roster construction. I don't understand hoops fans that can't appreciate another program because they feel like it's an injustice to their own team.

Auburn last year was just old. Not one first rounder on that team. Broome the only draft pick. UM will have two first rounders, potentially early. They'll have at least one second rounder too.

He already told you why it's an obsession. When you aren't posting about the amazing freshmen and how Mullins won't be drafted over them you're posting about Michigan and even doing so in threads that have nothing to do with Michigan or college basketball this season.
Hey, he needs to get to his 50 post minimum a day some how. 😂

Not really - I like a good convo. I'm not seeking this info out - just comes across the feed and I share.

It's nice to get to know the field - not sit in a UConn bubble. Not sure why that is considered an obsession
Idk I frequent other schools message boards and I didn’t see this kind of nonstop posting about how good UConn was in 23-24, let alone from one person.

Is it fodder for good convo when it devolves into this every time?

Alright you earned yourself three "chips." Use them wisely.

When? I hardly ever do that. Maybe just for your posts. I am, however, guilty of correcting the spelling of the names of the players.

And the word you are looking for is hovers, not huvvers. 🤣
Huvvers was to bait you and make his point which you did. Why is this board so nasty?

Caleb Wilson is a fun watch - guy jumps trying to steal passes when he'd defending his man on the perimeter. High energy, just full of joy out there. He's got an aura out there these other guys don't.

Miami is indeed a fraud. 11-2 with the two losses being BYU and Florida. They beat G'Town but nobody else in those 11 wins. Pitt is on a 20-0 run @Miami's place.

Looks like Miami is going to finish it out.

It’s being perceived as an obsession because you’re constantly talking about how great they are. You even bring them up in random threads that have nothing to do with them.

And then you chastise UConn fans who think they’re top 3, 12-1 national champion contender team is better.

You have a complex. Where you genuinely think you’re the smartest person in the room. All the time.

We get it, you think they’re practically unbeatable.

We’ll see.
Not the smartest….,just the loudest. Those two are generally not the same. And he is Exhibit A.

Now you're going to NBA talent after saying Michigan would beat Duke of last season. Duke's NBA talent last season destroys Michigan's NBA talent this season.

Maybe try sizing up the other 10 with 1/100 the interest and we’ll say you aren’t obsessed

On the other hand, never mind. That would mean we’d have to listen to a whole lot more of your drivel.

You keep saying this. This is not people’s issue with your take. It’s a strawman.

Everyone knows Michigan is good. I’m confused as to why you feel the need to embark on this crusade.

Your stance can’t be , “ agree with me that Michigan is more talented than UConn or you’re an insecure fan”. That stance insinuates that you believe your opinion is supreme over everyone else’s. AKA it’s makes you insufferable. Most of us wish you’d let it go.

It would be hilarious if Pitt even finished .500 in the ACC.

They may still be a fraud but they ended up winning 76-69.

It took a complete meltdown from Wake Forest for Michigan to beat Wake Forest in overtime.

At this point last season Auburn had already beaten #4 Houston, #5 Iowa State, #12 UNC, #16 Purdue.
I watched that Wake game. Dumb point guard for Wake kept driving into two or three big forwards trying to draw fouls in the last few minutes and kept getting stuffed and turning it over without scoring or getting fouled.
Wake gave it away.
