As reference he was listed at 195 last year. 215 would be great for him as long as it's good weight.

JC: "Clearly Deandre has worked hard to gain muscle. Having said that I don't agree with him at 205, I believe he is easily 215-220 already"

He just needs to get Durant's workout from him at his camp.

If he gains 10 pounds of muscle in 4 months with his body type after already consistently weight training for at least the last two years, than that would literally be a miracle. He has very thin muscle bellies and it appears a crazy fast metabolism.

Damn kids, they bulk up while I bulk down. I got 15 pounds for him.

God knows some of these college kids can ignore the nutrition advice they're getting. Hitting the gym and eating right would make that perfectly within the realm of possibility if he wasn't doing that before.

The first reports of DD putting on weight were immediately after the season and he wa already up 8 lbs at that pt. I assume his list weight last yet was from the beginning of the season and he put on half of his bulk up over the year.

Borges says he was up 8 lbs from the end of the season in April but I doubt that. He's gained 2lbs of muscle in 2 months.

Most players cut back on weight training during the season. Totally within the realm that a kid his age could add 10-15 lbs of muscle in 3-4 months of working out and eating right

Pretty sure he showed up late, so he missed the camp weigh in. They probably just referred to his previous listed weight. Even Amore noted that he looks bigger than last year.

If he has been doing anything close to correct since the season ended, which it seems he has. Than his spike in growth has already flattened out.

according to reports he already has achieved that spike in growth, so an additional 10 pounds would be crazy.

I guarantee no more than5 of those 10lbs are muscle, and even that would be some serious gain. Does mean he's stronger at least, and if he can hit 215 we will definitely be able to tell.

I could care less how much weight he gains as long as he continues putting up 20 and 10

It doesn't really matter that much for the NCAA, but it does for the NBA. 6'8" 195 is pretty light for even a small forward in the NBA. Daniels will most likely need to be a combo forward to get consistent minutes in the NBA depending upon the match up at the 3. He will probably need to get to 220 to have a lot of success in the NBA. Obviously Kevin Ollie has told him exactly what I have just said and Deandre is buying in. Not many players who think they will be a star shooting guard/ small forward player in the NBA would be ok with adding a lot of muscle and playing the college 3/4. Roscoe smith would be one that did not buy into this. Versatility on defense, rebounding, and an inside/outside game on offense is what will make a player stay in the NBA for a long time. This is what Deandre is working on right now.
