Castle is safe and in a great position. Spurs are investing in Castle future. They are building a new dynasty down there.

I just hope Castle extracts as much out of CP that he can. It would be great to see Castle running the point for that team. Paul can accelerate Castle's development.

Castle well positioned now to be among the best uconn alum in nba.... ever (Ray at his own level, then Rip, Kemba, then Rudy). Obviously who knows what happens on the injury front and, yes, some young studs who look on their way fall short. But still, in 2 yrs Spurs, OKC and Houston are gonna be battling for the West title every year. Castle gonna be part of a generational Big 3. This really could not have worked out better for him.

no one who has the first pick is gonna trade ANYTHING for the chance to get Flagg. that would be insabe. That said, they have a TON of lottery capital

They only get Flagg if they or ATL get the number one pick. Currently SA is in the lottery (9th worst team), ATL is 2.5 games out of the lottery.

I wouldn't bank of Flagg, but there will be some good players available.

It would not surprise me in the least if somehow the Spurs defied the odds and won the draft lottery.

The Spurs are in great position, and I’m so pumped Castle gets to stay and be a part of their future. They’re going to need a few shooters. Liam McNeeley would be a great pick in the back half of the lottery.

Castle won't be on ball very much going forward with Fox around. I do worry about his shooting playing off ball. He's going to have to be a plus shooter if he's not on ball, even as a lockdown defender.

Yup. He was just getting in a groove showing off his playmaking and decision making too. Hes going to be doing less of that and probably be asked to be more of a scorer and defender.

Definitely limits his ceiling if he’s staying there since Fox is a young star. Cant imagine he’s happy about this but he’s a rookie so who cares.

I don't think this is bad for him, quite the contrary. Fox is a score first guard, Castle can absolutely play alongside him and take care of the defensive assignment for any wing/guard.

I'm fired up - Fox is a guy I really like but is wasting in SAC, and this core with Wemby is going to be really fun.

Yeah I kind of wish he went to Sacramento as he would probably start there. Though San Antonio is a more reliable franchise with better history.

Yeah him with that starting group would’ve been fun to watch him play with. A lot of talent for him to get the ball to.

Seems like SAS really doesn’t want to let him go despite not really honoring his predraft wishes.

Been thinking about this a bit. This trade will allow Castle to become a Jimmy Butler type of player off ball so he can use size to his advantage more…but absolutely can run the point too. A great fit for long term growth

The few shows I listened to today think the trade is good for Castle. He gets a lot of respect for such a young man and he deserves it.
