I'm excited to see this team continue to grow, and the next step is winning on the road. It may have been easy to get pumped up in practice following the Cincy loss, but it will be important to keep focus and humility after the ECU win.
Tulane has lost 4 in a row, but to good teams... it's possible they are a tough match-up, having already been through their hard stretch... or UConn could punch them in the mouths in the first quarter and make Tulane quit on themselves. I would really love to see UConn win strong two weeks in a row!
"We're excited about watching the work and investment done as it relates to November," Diaco said Tuesday at his weekly press conference previewing the upcoming game. "November is a separator."
It will be for UConn, which has three games left. After Tulane, the Huskies have a week off, then finish vs. Houston Nov. 21 at home and at Temple Nov. 28. Both teams are ranked.
"We expect this week of practice to be better than last week's practice," Diaco said. "Why wouldn't we?"
He said the intense week of practice was key to the win over East Carolina after the Huskies were coming off a bad loss to Cincinnati.
