UALR off to a 2-0 Lead on Miss State

MSU mounted a furious comeback and now leads by 30. Iowa St. is some trouble though, down 35-18 at halftime against South Dakota. That's not the team that is in the Tourney every year, that is South Dakota St.

South Carolina won 65-55, thanks to a 12-4 4Q. Interested to see Te’a Cooper’s minutes. She finished 0-6, but I think she was 0-5 very early.

SD only has 1 Tourney appearance since moving to D1 but has won the Summit League regular season 3 times since '15. I didn't know that, but just looked it up.

Anyone know if Cooper on SC got hurt. She was 0-6 in the 1st half and ended the game 0-6.

SDSU and SD is a really good rivalry, believe it or not.

I believe it. I watched last year (2018) Summit League Final between the two schools. I think the men's final later that day was between the two schools as well.

She played coach in this game. And a very troubled one at that! She will have gray hair by the end of the season, I'm afraid. ;)

Lol. I honestly don’t think she’s worried. She wants to win but I think she’s aware that this team is going to require way more massaging than past teams. I suspect we won’t have a set starting lineup until January. Lots of tinkering being done and we’re playing the whole roster, even in tight games.

Remind me again what position Dawn played? ;)
Good point. I can barely recall Dawn playing for the National team, but if memory serves, she was a very tough pg, who liked to drive to the basket.

While today’s offenses in WBB are characterized by spreading the floor, moving the ball and knocking down 3’s, SC’s offense is built on pounding the ball inside and driving to the basket.

To some degree SC’s offense is a result of personnel. But it is also very much a function of Dawn’s comfort zone.
