Dawn - Don't Know if We'll Raise a Banner

It's the demeanor/attitude of "we're the best" which is just poor sportsmanship and really offputting with everything going on. I mean one of her first comments after the season ended was,
"we ended the season as the No. 1 team in the country with the best record in the country, the only team that won their regular season and conference tournament undefeated,” Staley said. “If they’re gonna pass out a national championship trophy, we got our hands out at South Carolina.”

Then says, "I don’t think it’s up for discussion who No. 1 is" a few days later.


I'm all for celebrating your team but it's such a poor move to try to flex that you're the best when the tournament cant be played, and honestly they werent the clear cut title favorite by any measure.

This comment from a fanbase that routinely brags about beating teams by double digits and that UConn is owed things like placement in tourney and certain rankings. Like how it is just bravado for Uconn but called bad attitude when it is Dawn. I seem to remember Tennessee fans having the same comments about Geno, when he appeared confident and Brash as he challenged the status quo as he grew his program. smh

I'm not a UCONN fan. I'm one of those Tennessee fans who has made similar comments about Geno.
