Did anyone see the ceremony at Citi Field yesterday? That was special. Alot of tears. First Mets player in my era as a Mets fan that I saw his entirecareer. Congrats David. You deserved it.
 
Great representative of the Mets on and off the field. Always going to wonder if he stayed healthy if he could have made the hall. He would have been on the fringe and I read something like he played 40 games after he turned 32?

I think he would have made the hall if health wasn’t an issue. He was an all star every year that he was healthy and got robbed of his 30’s so he had at least another 5-10 years of good ball.
