Was watching the BC game and they said their starting QB got injured in 1st half?

Yep.

I really didn’t like the way it looked - non-contact injury. Brown was cutting and the knee just buckled on him.

I think he had a season ending injury early on last year too...or was that someone else?

I love BS and what he has given to this program when it was at its lowest point
I thought DP held and showed himself very well today and should not be at all in awe of BC
The BC game is his statement game in order to establish himself as the favorite (not taking Krajewski into the equation) going into spring
I was happy overall with DP except for his downfield out of the pocket vision but that will come with experience

I am gonna guess that the Cincinnati game is still up in the air and that Anthony was speculating about BS's last game. Wins are so precious right now that if BS has cleared the protocol by then he will be under consideration to start at Cincinnati. No one except for Diaco plays for next year. DP has his immediate future in his own hands. If he doesn't do well against BC, we will see BS one last time.

I'm happy for Pindell. He showed us a lot today, and hopefully he can keep it going for next week's game. And my hat's off to Shirreffs for a great season and a great career at UConn. If he doesn't take another snap at UConn, I hope he knows that he's going down as one of the true warriors to ever wear the national flag blue...

Hope it is because BS is still woozy. If not, Edsall wrong. BS is way better.

Pindell was much improved today. Was good to see. Going to be a tall order next Saturday, BC didn't hold on today but they made Findlay's life miserable.
He may be saving BS from the chance of another concussion at the hands of those 2 BC DE's...they can bring it on the pass rush

BS is no way "way better"
DP is a much better athlete and is a more accurate passer - BS has the experience and is a warrior - I still think he would make a really good FB or small TE

If BS played today he probably would not know his own name.

Pindell's legs kept him from many sacks that BS may not have been able to avoid.

BS, if healthy, should play. He is better than Pindell. I will take back way better.

Based on health concerns I would not play Bryant this week. He was not able to fly to an away game as part of the healing process so no way do I run him out there against BC. Cinci may be in play but this week no way. Pindell did some nice things today. When he scrambles the receivers have to help him out with their route adjustments- come back to his side of the field. There are plays where he needs more zip on the ball.

do some teams make it to bowl games with five wins?
Yes. In the event there aren’t enough teams to fill out all the bowls who are .500, the ncaa will allow some 5 win teams in.

Pretty excited to see him play against BC and Cinci. Dan Orlovsky took some time to write a really good assessment on DP's play Vs UCF on storrscentral.com. It's one of their free preview articles they share.

StorrsCentral.com - Review of David Pindell's Performance Against UCF
"Pindell's escapability is real, and it's a huge weapon. His athleticism and natural instincts get himself and UConn make up for missed blocking assignments or losing a battle at the line. The next step for him will be to take that talent from being used in a reactionary manner to being used more assertively and truly getting the Husky offense into attack mode.

It seems like he can see the field well, as the ball was thrown to the route spot often, and the zone read was executed well. The UConn offensive playbook should be, and will be wide open over the few weeks and into 2018 with David Pindell. If he works to refine some of the things in his game mechanically, he can be a dangerous quarterback that makes the defense defend all parts of the field." Dan O.
