"Meanwhile, Sierra continues to attract the attention of all the top women’s basketball programs. She’s made unofficial visits to UConn and Duke, and while Omar Sr. says there’s a “strong possibility” Sierra will end up a Husky, he noted that she’s “building a nice relationship with coach (Chris) Dailey, coach (Geno) Auriemma, coach (Muffet) McGraw at Notre Dame and coach (Joanne) McCallie at Duke.”'

If the parents are loving, interested, involved, and supportive, that's great. If they do anything that rubs Geno the wrong way, Sierra will not end up at UConn. See Ariel Massengale as a case in point.

hmmm sounds like UCONN has a decent shot at getting Calhoun to me. We'll see.

I hope Sierra becomes a Husky........She's very talented and she WANTS to be a Husky.....That's the sort of kid we want here. Having super talent is not really the only requirement. A kid must want to be a Husky for it all to work out. (See EDD and Samarie Walker). A player will come , stay , and work their butt off if they have talent and want to be at UConn. But will leave when their heart isn't in it. I hope Sierra ends up where her heart is and where she wants to be...........In Storrs.

Nothing in the article suggests her parents are taking on an inappropriate role. Time will tell.

can we cross Duke off the list after the latest rear end whipping?

Omar Sr. and Omar Jr. were very loyal to UConn after the men's team was banned from postseason play. Omar Jr. could have ripped up his letter of intent and gone to another college, but both father and son said UConn was the place where Jr. wanted to play and that Jr. would honor his commitment to UConn (which he did) despite the ban.

I see nothing in the article above that suggests that Omar Jr. and Semara are anything but loving, involved parents. I wish Sierra the best in following her dreams at the college of her choice. Of course, it would be great if that college is UConn.
