it would be tight but everyone could average 20mpg give or take

2026
PG- Aidan / Nowell
SG- Ball / Adams
W- Ross / Mullins

This wouldn't fly. Someone would be sitting to push the starters to 30mpg or so. This game doesn't give out participation points.

If we pull in the two Gs we must be expecting to grab either Reibe or Bundalo. I believe that Guard play is what wins on the road, in the tournament, and looking at UCONN history it backs it up. Our best teams have had 3 guards plus a solid bench guy. The teams that have lost (05-06 and 08-09) were missing that one guard piece (Price in 05, Dyson in 08).

2025 1-3 rotation would be:
Nowell-Mahaney-Adams-Mullins
Ball can play 1-3
Then some big men that can play both in the paint (Reed, Abraham) and stretch outside (Stewart, Reibe)

Let us get this signing period over so I can focus on the 2024 team's chance at histor3#

it's a big year for ross yet PT is still going to be hard to come by

Yup, until I see otherwise, Hurley has never really gone more than 9 deep. Some people in their "prognostications" have us having line changes of everyone playing 15-25mpg. It's not going to happen for a variety of reasons. It's like when people inevitably predict scoring averages and it ends up that we're scoring 118ppg.

Regardless of how much talent you have, some people just are not going to play and you hope that they'll see the process and stick it out. But we're going to continue to recruit players at the expense of who may already be here. You let the chips fall as they will.

We will see. Hurley also has different lineups and playing styles now than he did in 2021 when he made a concerted effort to add shooting and scoring. He strikes me as the type of coach that coaches to his roster’s strength and minimize its weaknesses. The last two teams were blessed with star power at the top of the roster. This one arguably has more quality depth. Let’s see how it plays out and how he uses what he has.

The difference is these freshman seem ready right away. JStew was late getting to campus and IIRC had an early injury? (Could be wrong there) and Solo started hot, but his game was pretty one dimensional and didn’t show great defensively. Liam is obviously getting big minutes, from all accounts Ahmad is a dog who helps in a ton of ways, and Abraham is physical and a good defender already. The development of Ross and Solo looks good as well. We definitely don’t have the top end talent of the last few years, but it seems like we have more guys that can step in and not lose too much of a step.

He’s referenced multiple times already the target rotation is 9. We have 11 playable players, someone will be left out. How that lands will determine potential transferring. We are two deep at every position, 3 deep at center. The names of those who may explore more minutes elsewhere in 2026 are fairly obvious.

And that assumes perfect health, which hopefully the team will have.

Only 20 minutes is a huge concern, he could get 40 minutes at Indiana standing around on offense and playing no defense

It's coming & may shape up to be the best class ever, top to bottom.
