The Kinks were always unapologetically English, even when it was kind of out of fashion. Ray Davies has always had a way of encapsulating that sense of Englishness into a three-minute song. Here's one of those, from an absolutely brilliant album that's all about the same thing:

OK, here's one that, for my money, can't be beat. Pat's Metheny's live melodic jazz masterpiece "San Lorenzo".
