Danny Hurley is joining his dad in the Naismith Hall of Fame?!

I was admitted there decades ago.

Jean Shepherd used to open his radio show by playing "The Bear Missed the Train." He did a stand up show in Carnegie Hall, and did a big sing-along so everyone could tell their grandkids that they sang in Carnegie Hall.

UConn men’s basketball head coach Dan Hurley will join his father, Bob Hurley Sr., at the Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Mass. on Friday as part of the “Hoop Hall Hangout” series.

Dan’s brother, Bobby, head coach at Arizona State, will join the conversation virtually from Tempe, Arizona.

Which reminds me of the one where a tourist asks a street musician “How do you get to Carnegie Hal?”

To which he shakes his head and replies “Practice, practice, practice.”
