This kid is visiting in a week and deserves some threads on here. Love this kid's game and attitude, reminds me a lot of Rip. I think he will be extremely impressed on his visit, fingers crossed.

his brother goes to UTEP, up until just recently it was pretty much expected he was also going there. I would love to grab him because I think it would really get things going for Cali and the rest of those Belmont Shores guys, but I still expect him to go to UTEP.

That may work in our favor. I bet other schools are not recruiting him as hard because they figure he is going to UTEP.

I take it, you can pair Ahmed Hill with either him or Kelly Oubre. Which pair do you favor? Or does it not matter as long as E60 recruits are coming to UConn...

It absolutely does not matter. Even if we "only" get 1 of the 3, we'd be loaded in the backcourt going forward, especially if Samuel can contribute.

I have a good feeling Ollie will get this kid to commit. Its that LA connection and it seems he has been recruiting that region hard.

My only complaint from the 4 or 5 videos ive seen: he does not play with a lot of force, but is all finesse. Maybe it is just the highlight nature of the videos, but there is not alot of finishing/fighting through contact or getting in on the glasswork. iMO, we need some rugged players at the 3/4 slot in the next few classes.

Put me down for preferring Kelly Oubre, who reminds me spot on of a young James Harden.

With that said, looks very skilled and we would be happy to have another Deabdre Daniels clone.

Jeremy Lamb was all finesse, he worked out pretty well...

The video competition was very weak/ small. He looks smooth but would like to see him against better players.

Always prefer that. But keep in mind he has grown up with talented brothers. That's pretty good competition he has faced probably everyday.

He looks great, nice shot, good moves, he says he needs to improve his handle a bit. That's good. I can see the Rip comparison, but I also see a little of Daniels in him, he doesn't really get off the ground with explosiveness, but on the other hand, being so long and still getting his shot inside allows him to stay composed. Seems like a smooth player.

Jeremy Lamb had oriakhi/drummond banging down low protecting the paint.

You build a team by getting players that address needs/complement strengths. A YUGE (mike francesca voice) need on this team is toughness/rebounding.

That id the point I was making.

So, If we can get some 3/4 players that are bangers/tough guys, that would be my preference.

By the time he gets here, Nolan will be a junior, and Facey/Brimah will have a year of experience and will be bulked up. So I wouldn't worry too much about where we'll be in two years right now; a lot can happen.

And please, NEVER reference Mike Francesa here again.
