Seven assists per game, and in Goodman-world, he shoots too much?

I'll give the caveat that HS stats can leave a lot to be desired.

I'm really excited to see this kid play. Honestly I really didn't realize he was as highly regarded nationally when the staff landed him. It seems that after he verbaled, several services re-ranked him and he went up. Either way he seems terrific and i'm looking forward to seeing him suit up...

another ESPN writer who follows the WC recruiting scene much more closely than Goodman did say that during the summer Hamilton has been shooting alot more then he used to and had become too focused on scoring. Interesting enough during this same timeframe this is when has also shot up the rankings...maybe it was a conscience decision on his part to score more to boost his ranking? All the reports up until now have usually focused on how well rounded his offensive game was, Jerry Meyer was even calling him a point forward during his soph year.

Bosco has Dorsey and His brother Isaac. I'd assume Daniel played more of a team game. I like to think that when playing with other talented kids he adjust his game.

exactly. these analysts watch a couple AAU games and think they know the player. AAU is a step up from a pickup game, but not real basketball. It's a showcase. I'm sure when he practices offensive sets with his teammates and gets a feel for who he is playing with he finds open guys and doesn't have to put up as many bad shots.

We'll have plenty of people here whose job it is to pass the basketball.

With respect to any bucket-headed bloggers out there, I think it'll work out just fine if Daniel decides that it'll be his job to put that basketball in the basket.

He shot 43 percent in 6 eybl games.

sorry to ask you to do more research, but do you know what he shot from 3 and what was his ratio of 3 pointers to 2 pointers? because if he shot say 38% from 3 and 4/10 shots were 3 pointers, than that's a good 3 pt percentage and it means his 2 pt percentage was like 46-47% which is also very respectable.

46% on 3's is outstanding. 43% on 2's can be improved. That's OK, that's just coaching and learning a team system.

Daniel, who will play at UConn starting in 2014, is not as physically powerful as Jordan, but he plays considerably harder. Jordan often was criticized as much for his tendency to take plays off as for his compulsion to shoot. Daniel attacks defenders with an urgency that seems almost unfair. He punishes the players who defend him.
