Maybe a little too early for the schmuck remark, and everyone here for praising AD David Benedict as the next messiah.
You guys give him way too much credit
I'm going to reserve my judgement on the AD until the KO situation, where football is in the next couple of seasons, and how CR plays out.
His silence the past 2 months pisses me off. I don't care if he's busy. He's at the helm and UConn athletics is falling apart.
IMHO, he's way too much "football only" and leaves other sports to Goetz
I don't understand the timing of this or the rationale. DO seemed like a huge supporter recently. Why the huge change in tone? Like everyone else says, the only reason thst makes any sense is he got passed over for a coaching job.
I wonder if it has anything to do with the Corey fiascoI don't think that's the only (or even a reasonable) explanation. DO is a mouthpiece for Randy. If he's saying this, you can bet that there is conflict between Edsall and Benedict.
Well, he is blaming him for Ollie. He's obviously implying something about hires.I don't think that's the only (or even a reasonable) explanation. DO is a mouthpiece for Randy. If he's saying this, you can bet that there is conflict between Edsall and Benedict.
Pretty much sums it up...He's going LeBron on UConn.
Honestly, I think this needed to happen...I'm disappointed, it's a personal remark, crude and classless, that is now public.
Sorry, I don't see what the remark accomplishes, specifics please. Jury is still out, what, DB has been here less than 2 years?Honestly, I think this needed to happen...
On the topic of influential UConn Sports boosters and Alumni - Burton fumbles the ball (and sounds rather nonchalant about it welching on his corp debts)
Stamford company declares bankruptcy
My first job out of college was in that industry at a compeitor. Our old building is crumbling and you can barely see it from the overgrowth.
It’s an impossible business at this point.
totally agree, however they 9-3 team was screwed out of a bowl because we weren't in the big east yet and thus, played a weaker schedule than the following year.To be fair, the 2003 team went 9-3 and got screwed out of a bowl or we could have had a 10 win season. And we lost Terry Caulley early on or it might have been better. The 2004 team wasn't quite as talented as the previous year but it went to our first bowl where we smacked the MAC. Danny was a very, very good college QB.
