Different people are motivated different ways. Not everyone loves or feels the rah rah. there are many who need the constant reminder to uphold their responsibilities and remember past mistakes so they don’t happen again. These are college kids learning how to become self-motivated with the right intentions. Much different than the NBA where the guys are practicing, training, and living all on their own.A lot of the failure of the last 45:07 (not sure about the accuracy of the time period) rests on the shoulders of a player(s) that won't be there in the fall
I don't get/like it but I'm not being paid millions to think of this stuff
I'll bet Hawkins doesn't give a crap about last season
Let's just move on and motivate with the past successes at UConn - not the failures
That’s why I at least feel that the head coaches of the NBA are much more positive and kind. The players know what they need to do, and they don’t need anyone to tell them anymore.
