Crystal has been playing with a lot of emotion these past few games. I never saw her get angry or frustrated during a UConn game. Seems like she’s on a mission to prove something

I've defended Ogunbowale multiple times, but looks like she shot them out of the game tonight. 6-23, 2-10 behind the arc. She still got to 20 points, but horribly inefficiently.
Maybe I am wrong for thinking this but I would not be surprised if she is satisfied , as long as she scored twenty points, just like last season when she shot an uncontested layup at the end of a game to add to her total. There are some players who scored at least twenty points this week and took no more than sixteen shots. The other players on that team may soon get frustrated with the freedom she has while the team continues to lose.

Herbert Harrigan 10 pts, 8 rebs, 2 ast, 2 stl, and a block and +27 leading her team. Great game for her. Her confidence is getting better game by game.
If she continues to play close to what she has been playing and Fowles returns, the Lynx will be hard to beat. Add to that a better conditioned Sims, and they may be one of the four semi-final teams in the playoffs.

a couple games ago, i think on ESPN, they were saying - you gotta let arise keep shooting because once she gets hot she will win you a game. i get it, but last night a. gray was hot so why couldn't she win them the game?

not that i want dallas to win, so I'm glad.

Relying on a single player like Arike is just such a narcotic. You are not developing the rest of your players as well as you should. And her shots are so often high difficulty and she seems to seek out hard shots. It is almost like she enjoys trying to make harder and harder shots. She is a great difficult shot maker but the odds will work against you in the biggest games when the other team will scout you very well. I think in comparison, Chennedy is a bit more willing to look for others and does not need to make impossible shots as often (although she definitely can)

Very funny when comparing with the UConn players They always want to let the game come to them, get others involved. I especially marvel at Stewie regarding this. She is never locked in to trying to get her own shot or forcing shots. Just sound basketball plays and high percentage shots.

Got to hand it to Reeve. Harrigan is going to be great when harnessed. Most people were surprised by that pick including me. Pheesa is alreadty calling Harrigan Kiki McBuckets and she just does not miss.

The thing about using words like always and never, you're really setting yourself up. I know I've seen Stewie force some things, and take some low percentage shots this season. She's obviously playing great, but she's not flawless.

I really haven't seen much of New York, but it sounds like Nurse is doing a lot of the negative things people keep dumping on Arike for doing. Except she's not hitting shots. An ABYSMAL 23% FG shooting thus far. That's a player who really, really should stop taking shots. And 1.6 assists/game, so she's not setting up teammates.

She's a good player but didn't help her team much tonight. I'd like to see her pass more.

She is a good scorer. She has a ways to go to be a good player. More positive consistency in other phases of the game is needed.

Really gratifying to see Pheesa and now Crystal light it up as pros. Neither was especially hyped relative to their abilities in college, and both left with far fewer rings than most of UConn's All-Americans. They're both quietly persistent, dogged, and relentless, and I'm thrilled to see them thriving professionally. And living testament to Geno's unmatched ability to prepare his kids for the big leagues.
