Cut every player except Boat and Roscoe. Fire all the coaches. Save Calhoun. Just start over. This team has made a mockery of everything Calhoun worked to build over the last 26 years. They resemble the complete opposite of everything he has stood for. Forget all the laziness and stupidity to blow the game, the final play sums up these bums. Providence did everything to blow the game and we couldnt capitalize. With four seconds left after watching a 14 point lead evaporate the ball is on the ground in the middle of the lane and not one guy on our team hit the floor. Jeremy Lamb, our supposed star and future top 10 pick, after taking 2 awful shots before, watched the ball sit there and lazily bent over to "try" to pick it up. I bit*hed at the beginning of the year at how lazy we were against scrub teams and I was evicerated on this site. Well 20 games later our laziness has only gotten worse. Our tournament hopes were down the drain as the ball was sitting on the floor and not one player bothered to exert any effort no less hit the floor to fight to grab it and hope for a miracle shot. All of our former players who busted their as*es to build our program should be sick. Ill say it again. This team is a joke

That was my reaction but I'm a hothead and sometimes say things without thinking. I'm just amazed how many times a player would screw up and there would be no consequence. I guess I miss Calhoun.

I literally hate some of the posters here.

Just so violently stupid - I wonder how they exist.
Would you rather have us say how proud we are of this team? If we're so stupid, what is your opinion? I'm waiting............

I was actually referring to the other chucklehead - I have no idea who you are.

I might not hate you. Yet.

Ugh... so cliche to have a board meltdown. Yes, lets cut all the scholarship players. Sounds like a great idea.

Agreed about keeping Boat and Scoe. The main problem is that Calhoun has shifted in his recruiting from the talented and tough layers we used to get in the past to the finesse players we have been recruiting lately. The main problem with this year;s team other than their inability to play defense is that there is no leader or clutch player who can step up and make a shot to stop the other team when they make their runs or spurts. Lamb isnt that guy and like I have said many times, the guy that needs to take these shot is Ryan Boatright. He has the ability, confidence, and swagger to make big shots, but he is forced to defer to passive players like Lamb who looks like he getting ready for spring break and the NBA draft already. Boatright needs to stop deferring and make a play happen when we need a bucket because there is no one else who can make it happen.

Yes I think we need to congratulate this team! They busted their asses! NOT! And choked on the big one. Once again

Violently stupid really? How? Let's leave the lame excuses behind please. These are college kids who chose to be freaking lazy and don't give a crap evidently by their play.

Whatever, they had a rough go tonight. They are young and have showed it all year. I'd rather cut you as a fan than cut anyone from this team. Final Fours and Championships are not an entitlement. Suck it up.
Don't you know how this works? You have to HATE the team! HATE the players! That's how real fans do it.

lol...

This thread is like fly paper. It's almost caught almost all of 'em so far, hasn't it?

Couldnt agree more. I said the same thing in another post. This doesnt mean Lamb isnt a good player or its his fault for our disappointing season. Hes been good but not very good or great. The main reason weve lost basically every close game is exactly what you said. We dont have a guy who takes over to win ala Kemba. We dont even have a guy like AJ Price who would always come up with a big bucket to stop a run or score 5 quick points to put a game away. The box score will often indicate that Lamb had a good, efficient game. Hell score 17 or 18 points or so but on only 9 or 10 shots. Thats extremely efficient, but you need a guy to take over and score 24 or 25 to take over close games on the road and Lamb isnt that guy. This team just folded time and time again this season. Its pretty sad to see a Uconn team do that.

I agree! Let's cut them all! Let's cut the players that have been here a while and matured a little and are on the verge of maybe maturing a little more in another year and get a whole bunch of freshmen ranked in the 50 - 300 range. That way, they won't have any preconceived notions, like how to play JC's system, how to play sound defense, how to practice. Oh, and they won't have spent any time in the weight room either so they won't have increased strength to worry about. (And if we are prohibited from post season next year, let's get those freshmen in the 300 - 600 range cause that's all that will come.) Let's get back to something similar to last year, when we lost only 9 games even though Kemba pulled about a half dozen wins out of his arse and it could have been 15. Let's suffer through another season where we are 14 - 16 in order to set the stage for the NEXT year.

Oh, and then, in that NEXT year, when we do go 14 - 16, let's get rid of them all again....

The assininity just won't quit, will it? Do you guys even READ the stuff you are writing?

"never underestimate the predictability of stupidity."

it fits perfectly. Huskymagic goes on one of his rants, posts it twice to make sure we all swallow it, and the other moron who started this thread agrees with him.

Obvioulsy nobody is cutting the entire team. it is a figure of speach meant to make a point. this team just seems to make the same mistakes over and over again. they can't defend the 3 if their lives depended on it. they don't appear to play hard, can't hit the 3 point shot, when they finally do get people to take desperation shots, they get outrebounded by lesser players. the coaching staff seems to make head scratching decisions...there need ot be changes in philosophy, a change in attitude and probably some changes in personel.
