Thing to remember is, there are many basketball fans of the former Big East programs who wish they were back in the Big East. Their football teams are mediocre and their basketball teams are playing in the tobacco road conference suffering the same sort of recruiting and disinterested issues UCONN was facing in the AAC.

Yep and hopefully avoid the pitfalls that the other OBE schools stumbled into. For what it’s worth my sense is most of the ACC schools fans would like to turn back the clock as well and go back to a regional conference that had a strong identity. But nobody’s turning down the money, and we definitely would accept it if offered

And they want it in the middle of a decade long triple scandal involving improper player benefits, grade fixing, and drug usage in which most of the regular season games were voided. That championship will always have an asterisk next to it.
