FYI - We have nothing to do with the teams success or failure, therefore if fans want to discuss other teams (in this case a team in their conference) that seems pretty reasonable to me...

they aren't even in the same conf as us. them and i can't beleive how this board can't go for 5 hours in a day without a thread about them. there are 20something ppl here with cuse itis, its insane. go move to upstate ny and enjoy that up there. were uconn, we have a shitload more in the trophy room but a % of this fanbase is acting like were freaking norwalk cc and we have never seem such a amazing team. are they having a great year and do they look legit, sure. but no one here should give a dam if u were real uconn fans. that school has tried to screw us twice in 10 years with the later working so far. we can on our last breath live in a bball world as a indy if needed so stop acting like cuse bball is important to uconn. we should be treating them like we treat boston college. every year there fanbase is watching us in march and we have to hear it from them. why do you guys stoop to there level?

If it makes you feel better I'm glad you posted it. Not that my opinion is going to change the way you run your life or influence how many snow flakes are going to fall on peoples heads in a day.

i dont mean to call out fanhood, im just extremely fustrated. yes ppl are comparing cuse to us, ever sucker post about them is, is being scared that they are good. its not really about the loss or me venting becuase of it. its to the point where i rather be on the fball baord for chat and just come here when i have things to say or recruit stuff to chat about. it seems like a 25% here have gone wacko, 25% here are cuse closet fans who post daily about them, 25% here think its last year all over again and 25% here are the normal people that realize whats going on but have basically gone silent beacuse of the 75%. I have noticed several long time posters that used to post alot and more over here that in other spots really aren't right now. its becuase this place is extremely infested with some bullcrap. i enjoy some fun as much as the next guy but its just getting silly. again its not about our team, its about this baord at this point for me. i have faith in the team in the long run.

i don't mind a omg cuse is 20-1 thread(i saw atleast 3 that were hey looky here at the same time today...), what i do mind is 8 cuse threads a day on this baord. its just getting worse and worse here for some reason and i just don't know why. its like jets fans always crying about what the giants are doing. its mentally sick. ok melo news, thats fine have at a thread but not 5 of them. its just getting silly that we allow all these idiots and trolls to run free. this isn't turkaturkaistan, its connecticut.

But the number of Duke, Dukie V and Squid posts have significantly tapered off. I consider this board has significantly improved.

i saw atleast 2 duke threads yesterday also fwiw. maybe i should go bump those like i did the cuse threads because our fanbase here really only wants to talk about teams that are the best, only winners! right now uconn isn't the best, we have some work to do developing still, so why talk about them? there not good enough for our frontrunner warm weather fans here. last year really brought out the bandwagon. this board has gone down a black hole lately. besides dogmania/husky99/u/samcro and a few others this board is extremely hard to read night in and out. cuse, pitt, bc, vt miami, duke etc you know what they all have in common? they are in the acc laughing at us and they are not ever a U of State school. they have a different vision then us whether you like it or not. everyone here needs to realize those fanbases dont give a about us, so why do we care about them? f them.

thanks for the kind words. i'm not leaving like a baby sheep or anything, just wish there wasn't so many crazy/delusional posters here. think i'm just going to tred light at this point. i'm 2 much of a fan not to be on here talking/finding out info...i understand the duke stuff and the squid stuff, its ok considering those are 2 teams that we consider to be with us in the top 8 all time. the tney games vs duke and the umass to uk ride for the scumball etc...those are normal stuff unlike the past month of cuse mania here. for fball its a little different. the RE talk is alot at times but guess what? he actually had something to do with uconn, he was a coach here, our only d1 bcs coach until PP. so he gets brought up 247 becuase we have nothing else to compare our team to, 10 years from now it will be RE and PP. we are just young. completely different ball game form the bball board. Rutgers is a school the board should care about and the fball does but here on the bball we see over them becuase of there past on the court. they have the same mission as we do, unlike cuse/pitt/bc etc.. they just stink at that mission alto more than us but none the less-same boat here. they are a rival in the making, they sure treated us like 1 this year at the rac, but most people here don't even realized why that place was nuts. it was becuase of there loss to us that kept them away from a bcs chance. for all the crap we can all give nd about stuff, they do still play bball in our conf and if they go somewhere-thats basically going to move us somewhere as well. they are the ones rumored to want us in HE and the ACC. they see a great school and great all around athletics, good mk/fanbase and they want us to be with them. guess what, we should be talking about them becuase they seem to want us to live well in the end. this board is worried about a couple of private/no state u's in the region. college sports isn't a bus away type thing. those school as far as im concerned are holy cross'es in the making. big state schools run the rest of the world in college sports and thats what lew perkins saw and decided we needed to be apart of. i think becuase of our bball sucess over the years that alot here aren't really uptodate on whats actually going on and who actually wants us around and who doesn't. they aren't bothered becuase they think uconns dick is to big in the wolrd, well its not. ok rant over.
