I was screaming at the TV when we play Siva. Against him especially I dunno why we play him as a scorer. Every time he penetrates he passes to wide open shooters. For the love of god play him 1 on 1 and if he beats you than make him shoot a tough lay up.
He is a pass first PG and it is so obvious.

I was seeing if he would actually admit it. There is no legit basketball reason for a fan of college basketball to see any game of UConn's in Hartford.

Tickets were gettable at Storrs, and I live in NYC. I got mine without going through any special means. Also if you are a college basketball fan, it's worth it to get the ones at Storrs, no big game should ever be played in Hartford.

Yup I'm also in NYC and tickets can be had anywhere if you have the motivation. This gampel Cuse game happens to be an espn gameday affair, so even harder.... But they could have been had quite easily a few months ago... And now it's all about the almighty dollar. If you're a Cuse fan in ct then pay for it. Cuse has only had 2 hard away games and both were worth the ticket... That game will be great for all fans because it's at gampel

gampel "sells out" at 10K. i am a syracuse fan from syracuse, at least at the XL i can get a room in hartford and make a weekend out of it. the XL is a pro venue that i would much rather visit than your on campus bandbox.

Dude it's gameday. That ain't happening at XL cause XL sucks. The atmosphere will be wonderful and the game probably will too. XL just can't match it.
Gampel is 38 minutes from Hartford, get a room in Hartford, drive to Storrs then drive back to hotel. Really not that hard. You lose a total of 1 hour and 20 minutes round trip (OK a bit more on the drive back to Hartford with game traffic). Considering you just spent about 4 hours 30 minutes driving to Hartford, well that's not a huge deal.
If you have been to both Gampel and HCC, you wouldn't even want to bother with the HCC.

Plan ahead a bit. I'm coming from Colorado, got a room at the Nathan Hale Inn, and picked up some tickets on stubhub back in November. Not cheap, but definitely worth it to get back to campus and have a fun night. Hartford freakin blows.
There are a few fun things in Hartford, but overall I agree.

The games on campus have more students, better atmosphere.
IMO There is very little to do in Hartford overall. Don't get me wrong, it's OK but it's not a real big city, so if you live or have lived in NYC/Tokyo/Shanghai it doesn't do much for you. If you are in CT for a UConn game, why not be on campus, esp. if it's gameday.

while we're on storrs/hartford, i guess i'll chime in. Born and bred in CT living outside hartford as a youngster in his 20s im cool with storrz think its far and away the best venue for cbb in ct. But my father cant stand the drive and parking at storrs. Maybe its just an age thing, but i love it at gampel. Cant wait for the cuse-uconn game, atmosphere should be through the roof.
