Some interesting data points here if you put any faith in the rating methodologies used by 247 Sports and the other services that compile into their composite ranking system (More Info).
One big flaw that jumps out at me, though, is how closely many of the team rankings (i.e. SMU at #2) are tied to total numbers of recruit commitments vs. the avg ranking for their recruits. Case in point, SMU has 17 total commits but only 8 are > 3 "stars". Same story for Tulane, yet both teams are ranked overall ahead of UConn.
On the other hand, it seems Houston, Cinci, UConn, UCF and USF are doing a better job getting quality recruits based on the % of recruits with > 3 "stars". Kind of surprised how ECU's recruiting is going so far, too.
