How great has the weather been this month? I’m going to the beach today. And it’s going to be nice all next week as well. September has become the best weather month in Connecticut, almost makes up for out lousy springs lately.

I'm organizing a school trip tomorrow to the Yale Bowl. Sunny and 70, perfect weather to build up a tailgate buzz and then mingle with parents.

I just got back from 3 hours at the Norwalk beach. Spectacular. Except for the lanternflys. Everywhere. People were coming, setting up and leaving 5 minutes later. Didn't bother me except I was worried I'd swallow one when I was swimming

It's been pretty great since mid August really. A bit chilly morning and evening for me. I'd prefer zero days a year when long pants were necessary.

Luckily not the case at Hammonasset. It was pretty crowded, all blue hairs. There were more people yesterday than were there on the last Friday in August.

72, dry and sunny yesterday at the Yale Bowl.

After not being able to make it out there the last two years, yesterday’s weather made it feel more imperative to spend the Christmas week with the in-laws in Phoenix. Game changer spending the darkest week of the year with sun and no daylights saving, makes the rest of the winter more tolerable.

Darkest week of the year?

Is that the stands with the actual game going on?

Haha, yep. That was Yale's first TD drive in the 1Q. That's the Holy Cross side of the field.

4500 in the building for a venue that seats 60k. Quite a few HC fans were tailgating prior to the game and it seems like most of the tailgaters stayed outside the Bowl all game.

Hardly a clown in the sky...

Anyone who is dressed for the winter right now is a psychopath.
Or they have a medical condition. A friend of mine was receiving chemo and I visited him on one of the hottest most humid days this summer, we were on his deck and he had blankets over him. While I was struggling with the heat.

My prayers to your friend on a complete and speedy recovery.

You really think I was targeting cancer patients are you serious. Was a tongue in cheek comment that was obviously speaking in general speak as in people dressing for winter already by choice and not need. If you took offense to my previous most then my apologies.

I know kids in their 20s that wear sweatshirts and sweatpants in 90 degree that was basically what I meant. Everyone has those family members who are always cold who want the ac and fans shutoff even though it’s 80 in the fall.
