The CT Sun won their fifth straight game to open the season undefeated. The Sun lead the league in scoring, field goal percentage, 3 point percentage, rebounding, and assists. Defensively, they have allowed the least points. They play great team ball, shoot really well, and dominate in a manner suggestive of the great team from Storrs. One can see why Geno recommended Curt Miller as coach.

Does this mean critics are going to say the Sun is bad for WNBA????

LOL.

On a serious note, you know, even though the Lynx have been incredibly dominant since Maya got there, I've never heard of anyone saying that about the Lynx. It makes you wonder why they feel the need to attack UConn. (Although, UConn has been dominant longer than the Lynx. Maybe that's it.)

The Connecticut Sun are off to a very good start. They are the only undefeated team in the WNBA.

A team like this is great for WNBA. Besides Lynx and Sparks was a big drop off for too long. Love a team that can have 5 different high scorers in 5 games.
Exciting players that are unselfish and not showboaters (Diamond DeShields) . Love the improvement of Jasmine Thomas’ game. Can say that for just about every player on this roster. They put teams away.

I thought Curt Miller was a short little loud mouthed squirt. He has proven he can coach not just yell.

The Sun have been a joy to watch! What a fun, upbeat team.

They have had an "easy" schedule - they've played LV without McBride & Plum, LA without Parker & Lavender, a very young Indiana team, Chicago without Quigley & Dolson, & Washington without Delle Donne. They did what they should have done in all these games - win in dominating fashion (for the most part).

They've got a tougher month ahead, with most of their games on the road I think. It'll be interesting to see how they perform against Seattle, Phoenix later on. & Atlanta, NY & Minnesota this week - those teams don't have the best records, but they've all got superstar players and have won some scrappy games.

triaddukefan - I'm sure Lexie's minutes will increase as the season goes on. She's got a lot to contribute to this team!

I'll add that the Sun have 6 players averaging double figures from about 14 for Alex Bentley to about 11 for Courtney Williams. That is some nice balance and bench contribution. Also, the Sun currently have 2 All-Stars coming off the bench including last year's MIP, and start two All-Stars including a former ROY. Their oldest players are Jas at 28, Strick at 27, Alex and Alyssa at 26. As a team, they may be just entering their prime.

Curt Miller's best moment of the year came after Sue Blauch apparently missed a call and in the ensuing "discussion", a Sun player got T'd up. As the ref came by the Sun bench, Miller (already issued a warning in the game) yelled, "You missed the call, this is YOUR warning" Classic.
