The article kind of was implying that Hathaway was apprehensive about bringing in Drummond or atleast that the relationship between he and calhoun was in some way preventing us from getting Drummond...

Jeff Hathaway, UConn's athletic director until his forced retirement Aug. 19, apparently had major reservations about the changes that would need to be made in order for the Huskies to welcome Drummond right away.
that's really about all you need to know. i certainly don't think all the issues regarding the MCBB team are Hathaway's fault - some blame lies directly with JC - but i'm thrilled JH is gone.
