Final scores from this weekend …… Greenwich defeated West Haven 14-0 in the LL final, New Canaan beat Darien 35-28 in the L final, St. Joes barely beat Brookfield 21-20, Masuk upset Windsor the #1 ranked team in the state 24-21, and Ansonia beat Bloomfield 58-12. The FCIAC and SWC conferences really making a nice showing. Brookfield went for 2 for the win instead of kicking the PAT for the tie, but got stuffed by St Joes. Too bad there was a loser in that game.

Champions, by county:

Fairfield……......4 (Greenwich, New Canaan,
St.Joe’s, Masuk)
New Haven…....1 (Ansonia)
New London…..1 (Killingly)

Not unusual.

Get with the times, we don't have counties, we have planning regions based on COGs!

2 for Western
2 for Greater Bridgeport
1 for Naugatuck Valley
1 for Northeastern Connecticut

Happy to have an off thread discussion of this. Really just ribbing, so carry on with the county data.

Greater Bridgeport? Both border Stamford.

Windham, not new London.

WTF?

I was there working at the games at CCSU. Everyone in the press box was incredibly confused how he was that wide open, and I hadn’t actually seen a replay until now….makes sense now! Gotta be illegal, no?

It’s a more egregious version of the play Syracuse had a penalty called for against UConn. Especially with the kid coming in from the sideline.

That's the one! I couldn't remember where it was.

When offense substitutes one ref is supposed to stand over the ball to allow the D to sub as well

Don’t think the refs saw the guy come onto the field

Ansonia stole a game from Woodland, but left no doubt against Bloomfield.
Football tradition wise, it’s a shame with the drop off in football at Ansonia/Derby since they built Woodland.

Refs miss calls all the time. Like in the 1977 Stoddard Bowl.
