So, despite the fact of being a Progressive Insurance member since 2010, the CT DMV hit me with a car insurance compliance fine earlier this summer. I've been doing autopay for years and haven't missed a re-up. Now, I can't renew the registration of my car until I "resolve my compliance issue".

I tried calling, but after an hour on hold, no pick up. I tried making an appointment, but I can't until I fix the compliance.

Any ideas?
 
It sounds like your problem is with Progressive Insurance. They are the ones who send the info to the DMV. Have you called Progressive or your agent? They are the ones who should fix the problem for you.

Had this same issue in May
You should be able to pay the fine thru the DMV site

 
Hopefully after you clear this up you can renew online because a new registration has about a 2 week wait for in person appointments. @bigknight3 gave you solid info complete with links, Good luck.
