Brown didn't have a good year statistically.

What's the significance of the red highlighted players? I recognized 2 commits and a couple more we recruited. What's the specific meaning?

No Boeing Brown?
are you trying to start another casey vs boeing thread lol???

casey beat him out for top honors. then in the class the new canaan qb beat him out. the kid had major stats for a top 10 team.

yea but not for football....

lol issacs is a solid 3* TE. just because we didn't get him doesn't mean we shouldnt still keep an eye on him. he has family in boston so its not like we just lost a even battle.

Also the coaches have to nominate players, Brookfield's coach does not believe in naming Underclassmen or Juniors to All-State.
Even though he should have been for Class M. Last year did not put up Leaon Gordon, this year did not put up Boeing Brown.

Scott Lutrus was nominated to the CHSCA team as a Junior (2004) under current head coach Rich Angarano. Lutrus received honorable mention in 2004 and was named to the SS team in 2005.

Players who are named to the CHSCA All-State Team are not eligible to make the Class LL, L, M, or S squads. You're only named to one team. The All State team is the best of the best.

Whether Brown or Gordon were nominated or not, neither deserved All-State recognition in 2011. Statistically, Brown was the 5th best and Gordon was the 6th best in Class M, at their respective positions. Furthermore, they were both 6th best, statistically, at their position(s) in a weak SWC. Compared to others at their position(s) throughout CT, Brown was 30th among QBs and Gordon was 24th. Neither had a season that was comparable to the previous year. Gordon had 112 rushing attempts for 1161 yards in 2011, down from the 128/1351. Brown was 81/170 for 1332 yards, 10 TDs, 9 INTs in 2011, while going 82/147 for 1511, 18 TDs, 5 INTs last season.

OL KYLE WILSON LEDYARD
I know that Wilson as well as some other Ledyard linemen have made numerous unofficials to UConn this season as I know them and actually was an assistant coach and player while I was at Ledyard a couple years back. I'd keep an eye on him as a potential walk-on prospect.
