Another notch in Geno and CD's belts. A rebuff to some of the teams that passed on her. A wink of the eye and a smile to her own coaching staff that thought she would need at least one season of coming off the bench in scrap time. She came in with something to prove and did so with class.
A modern day The Little Train That Could story, so glad she came to UConn and happy for her success now.
 
With all the good stuff that she learned from Geno, the staff and UConn;
She's undeniably playing much better now. It's as if she's been freed up.
Her confidence is sky high

Let's give Cheryl Reeve some credit for putting the finishing touches on our wonderful little package.

Cheryl really is an excellent coach. I hope she is next up for an opportunity to coach the national team.

People were talking about Allemond and I am surprised she did not get a vote. I think an underlying reason is that people may not view her as a rookie since she has a strong European / International pedigree

Along with earning recognition as rookie of the year, Dangerfield will receive $5,150 and a specially designed trophy by Tiffany & Co. from the league.

Guessing the Trophy will be high quality Crystal. :)
